Badly Made Books are an Irish bookbinders, printers, designers & stationery manufacturers specialising in high-quality, low-impact books.

The workshop celebrates curiosity and determination, qualities needed to look past failure and bring new ideas to fruition. This is how the first badly made books were designed, a process of prototyping and experimentation that resulted in a novel method of binding books that allows our books to lay flat so each page can be fully used.

Badly Made Books choose to use recycled materials, risograph printing and as many hand-operated, pre-used machines as possible. They incorporate sustainability into every aspect of our material selection & production process by adapting old processes and inventing new ones to meet the needs of the future.
